In Kangemi, approximately 6,000 children with special needs are not enrolled in school programs. We're working to change that by supporting their caregivers.

To nurture the emotional well-being of caregivers of children with special needs by empowering them through skills training, psychosocial support, and promoting inclusivity.

To create a community where caregivers of children with special needs are empowered, dignified, destigmatized and treated with empathy through partnership.
Our Story
Founded in collaboration with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in April 2024, we started as a small support group in Kangemi, Kenya. Now officially registered as a CBO in 2026 with 23 members.

Founder's Message
This journey began with reflective listening to the quiet struggles of caregivers raising children with special needs. The exhaustion that often goes unseen. The stigma that isolates. The countless moments of wondering, "Where do I turn for help?" I couldn't ignore it.
As psychologist, together with my partner Sylvia and Uhuru Highway Lutheran Church have created this community guided by faith and compassion, to be a safe and empowering space for caregivers to be heard, supported, and uplifted. Here, your emotional wellbeing matters. Your experiences are valid. And you are not alone.
We are building more than a support system. We are creating pathways connecting caregivers to the right services, equipping them with practical skills to ease financial burdens, and opening doors to opportunities that restore dignity and independence.
At the same time, we are raising our voices for change — advocating for inclusive schools, welcoming churches, and a society that embraces every child and every caregiver with compassion and respect.

Guided by faith and compassion, our work grows out of a partnership with Uhuru Highway Lutheran Church (Evangelical Lutheran Church). From a small support group in Kangemi, we are now a registered community-based organization walking alongside caregivers every day.
